Maybe, you have never heard of Talentehaus or Botball? Well, this is no longer a problem, now you get all your answers to this everyday-life-questions…
We are the Team Talentehaus, a robotics team from Austria which loves difficult robotic challenges. There are 12 team members (students at the age of 12 to 17) from all over Lower Austria. We got together about 3 years ago because of the Talentehaus, a non-school talent program in the field of robotics (programming and constructing). It’s not like in school, that there are teachers preaching their curriculum and so on, in the Talentehaus are lecturers who are helping with questions, but most we learn on our own, together in the group of highly motivated students. We really love robotics and working on robots in a team, so we have the best conditions for being successful.

Now you know who we are, but what the hell are we doing?
Well, we attended ECER, the European Championship of Botball, and now are going to attend GCER, the World Championship. Botball was founded and is organized by KIPR. Botball is a team-orientated competition, which motivates students using their science, engineering, technology, math, and writing skills to design, build, program, and document robots.

We started at ECER 2016 and we were quite successful. This story has to be continued, so we also participated in ECER 2017 and could enhance the amount of awards. But that’s not the end, we hopefully can add some awards after GCER 2017 and further competitions in the next years…

Nun, das ist kein Problem mehr, jetzt bekommst du alle deine Antworten auf diese Fragen!
Wir sind das Team Talentehaus, ein Robotik-Team aus Österreich, das schwierige Roboter-Herausforderungen liebt. Es gibt 12 Teammitglieder (Schüler im Alter von 12 bis 17 Jahren) quer verteilt aus ganz Niederösterreich. Wir haben uns vor etwa 3 Jahren im Talentehaus, einem nicht-schulischen Talenteprogramm im Bereich der Robotik (Programmierung und Konstruktion) zusammengetan. Es ist nicht wie in der Schule, dass es Lehrer gibt, die ihren Lehrplan predigen und so weiter, im Talentehaus sind Vortragende, die bei Fragen helfen, aber meistens lernen wir alleine, zusammen in der Gruppe der hochmotivierten Schüler. Wir lieben Robotik und arbeiten an Robotern im Team, also haben wir die besten Voraussetzungen, um erfolgreich zu sein.

Jetzt weißt du, wer wir sind, aber was zur Hölle machen wir?
Nun, wir besuchten die ECER, die Europameisterschaft von Botball, und jetzt besuchen wir die GCER, die Weltmeisterschaft. Botball wurde gegründet und wird von der KIPR organisiert. Botball ist ein teamorientierter Wettbewerb, der die Schüler mit ihren Wissenschafts-, Ingenieur-, Technologie-, Mathematik- und Schreibfähigkeiten motiviert, Roboter zu entwerfen, zu bauen, zu programmieren und zu dokumentieren.

Wir haben bei der ECER 2016 angefangen und waren sehr erfolgreich. Diese Geschichte musste fortgesetzt werden, so dass wir auch an der ECER 2017 teilgenommen haben und die Anzahl der Preise erhöhen konnten. Aber das ist noch nicht das Ende, wir können hoffentlich einige Auszeichnungen nach der GCER 2017 und nach weiteren Wettbewerben in den nächsten Jahren hinzufügen ...
